HID Offering a First-of-Its-Kind Design Workshop for Security Consultants

A few weeks ago, you were introduced to HID’s Architect & Engineering team, hyper-focused on providing strategy and guidance to — and collaborating with — the security specifier community. This month, we are thrilled to announce an upcoming series of virtual and in-person design workshops covering critical information for this community. 

This type of design workshop is a first for HID. 

Security consultants working across verticals and geographies are tasked with a multitude of access and egress requirements and almost limitless migration paths to choose from as they help end users move away from legacy access control technology to more secure and flexible solutions. We’re creating this series of workshops to empower consultants with the tools they need to successfully meet these complex and varied client needs.

Here’s a peek at the workshop agenda:

• A thorough review of credential and reader offerings and technology differences
• A review of typical access control vulnerabilities and how to minimize risk
• Benefits of the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP)
• How to determine upgrade paths from legacy products to more secure technology

There will also be opportunities to meet and mingle with your peers, as well as some of our top technical experts.

Our team is in the process of nailing down dates and cities across the United States and Canada. So far, we have selected April 16 in Woodcliff, NJ, April 17 in NYC and May 2 in Boston, MA — but more to come!

Donna Chapman, Director of the A&E Program for North America, comes to HID with 25 years of experience in the physical security industry, specializing in architectural door hardware and access control. Donna has spent the majority of her career working directly with end users in all vertical market segments, including architects, security consultants, and channel and technology partners, on solving the needs of intricate openings.
