HID Creates New Workforce Identity Ecosystem Program

New platform helps developers deliver flexible and fitted workplace experience and security applications.

AUSTIN, Texas, Apr. 9, 2024 – HID, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, announces a new ecosystem program for mobile and web application developers to build rich and dynamic workplace experience and security applications. To start, partners could white label or embed credential and visitor management workflows into mobile and web application solutions for their commercial real estate, data center, hospitality and enterprise customers.

“A collaborative, open ecosystem will be the foundation for significant innovation and value creation for the access control and physical security market more broadly,” said Martin Ladstaetter, HID Senior VP and Managing Director for HID IAMS. “Expanding our current partner relationships to developers looking to leverage our PaaS identity services will benefit vendors, partners and customers alike. They can build rich and dynamic workplace experience applications that don’t sacrifice security. We look forward to helping the industry capture its potential via a new wave of growth in the physical security space.”

The Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) business area of HID will immediately add new capabilities to their mobile application developer program with the new program, expanding the industry-leading Mobile Access and Origo Bridge solutions. Other ASSA ABLOY brands and companies, as well as physical security, digital workspace and physical identity and access management providers, can leverage the experience and strength of HID’s Workforce Identity Management business unit to improve offerings and time to market.

“We have seen the impact open collaboration and a platform-driven marketplace can have in other software market. From the industry’s first and only off-the-shelf PIAM solution, HID SAFE, to our enterprise visitor management and digital lobby offerings HID Visitor Manager and EasyLobby, we are excited to expand our relationships with new and existing partners with these new ecosystem-as-a-service capabilities.” said Phil Buck, HID VP, Workforce Identity Management business unit.
